The FSU Career Center has partnered with ReadyMinds, a customized, interactive, distance career counseling service. Through this partnership, FSU alumni can receive personalized distance career telecounseling supported by online interaction, and delivered by National Certified Counselors who specialize in specific career paths. We recognize that distance and time restraints often make it difficult for alumni to visit the Career Center in person. The ReadyMinds Program extends traditional access to individual counseling by offering convenience, structure, and a systematic plan of action for reassessing and/or confirming your career direction and goals.
Features and benefits include:
- Personalized, objective, confidential career counseling - when and where it is convenient for you.
- Online assessments that will assist you in defining values, skills, and interests as they relate to your career plans.
- 120 minutes of telephone counseling, inclusive of resume review, interviewing skills, and techniques to assist your navigation through the overwhelming information available on careers and job searching.
- Interactive relationship with a National Certified Counselor, trained to address your individual career needs, and who devotes a minimum of four hours of research and preparation to assisting you.
- Access to your assigned counselor for a one-year period, during which emails can be exchanged and appropriate questions can be addressed.
- A four-page written summary of the counseling sessions along with a career action plan called Insight Into U™.
