Successfully completed the Dale Carnegie Class on "Effective Communication."

Study Abroad Program; Summer 1999
Studied abroad in London; traveled to Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and France. Successfully communicated with many different people of different cultures and languages.

Supervised and trained 18 wait staff. Coordinated work schedules and evaluated staff performance.

Service / Volunteer Work

Oak Ridge Elementary School, Tallahassee, FL; Tutor; Jan 99 - present
Tutor elementary and middle school students in reading and English skills for local schools. Awarded the "1999 Tutor of the Year" award from Oak Ridge Elementary School.

The Meadows; Volunteer; Sept 99 - present
Volunteer at an assisted living facility. Read stories, write letters, fill out applications, and assist with any correspondence needs of the residents.

Memberships / Activities

American Marketing Association; Member/Professional Liaison; Jan 98 - present
Wrote articles and edited copy for the American Marketing Association's monthly student newsletter. Increased student membership from 25 to 100 through a targeted marketing campaign utilizing flyers, newsletters, direct mailings and class announcements. Served as the liaison between the professional chapter of the American Marketing Association and the FSU student chapter. Disseminated information to officers of both organizations.
