Completed three management training programs addressing communication and
teamwork in the workplace; supervised 18 cashiers and, as office manager,
was responsible for insuring positive staff moral with emphasis on customer
satisfaction.
Service / Volunteer Work
Beyond Borders; Florida State University-Division of Student Affairs;
Volunteer; Spring, 1998
Selected as one of 12 students to represent the University in an
international exchange service-volunteer project with the University of
Costa Rica; as part of the project training participated in the FSU
"Ropes Course" to develop group cooperation and teamwork in an
outdoor setting; worked as a team member in teaching English to 8-12 year
old school children in Turrialba, Costa Rica.
Memberships / Activities
Chi Omega Social Sorority; Florida State University; Member; 1997-present
Co-chaired a sorority fund raising campaign associated with the Ronald
McDonald house to provide support for families who have children
hospitalized with cancer; participated with 33 other sorority members in a
range of fund raisers including car washes, adopt a highway and the
University Dance marathon.
Interests / Life Experiences
Women's' Varsity Cross Country Athlete, The Florida State University,
1997-present
One of seven varsity starters for the FSU Cross Country team; represent the
University in participating in district, regional and national meets;
coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of team support and
achievements rather than individual awards.
