Pursuing graduate or professional training can be confusing and challenging for many students. But, a step-by-step and organized approach can help you achieve your goals for additional education and training after your Bachelor's degree.
- Explore what is important to you about grad school by talking with a career advisor at the FSU Career Center.
- Identify graduate/professional programs in your field of study using reference books at the FSU Career Center Library and online using free Computer-Assisted Career Guidance systems like e-Choices, Discover, or Sigi3.
- Contact these programs and request applications and further information.
- Develop an application strategy for gaining admission to your programs
of choice, including:
- Author a vita or resume
- Write personal statements
- Practice for interviews
- Investigate financial aid options using the FSU Office of Financial Aid, the FSU Career Center, and the programs to which you have applied.
- Visit the institutions to which you are accepted. Talk to students and faculty and get a sense of campus and town life before you commit!
