  • Alex Shorter is Account Associate at the William Mills Agency, Atlanta. He is responsible for client management in both the financial services and mortgage industry, including a specialized consulting firm and numerous IT providers. His prior experience includes sports public relations, where he provided athletic media training and public relations services to university athletic programs across the country. Mr. Shorter holds a Master's Degree in Communications in Media & Communication Studies from Florida State University.
  • Mike Smith is Vice President of News, Production and Engineering at WCTV, Channel 6, Tallahassee's CBS affiliate. Before coming to Tallahassee in 1990 Mr. Smith built his career at a number of media organizations throughout the southeast including stations in Jacksonville, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; and Knoxville, Tennessee. He is currently President of the Florida Associated Press Board of Directors where he has served on the board in various capacities for the past several years. He was also President of CBS Florida from 1991-1993. Mr. Smith has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. His wife, Rachel, was a former FSU employee and is now Director of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of Florida.
  • Joe Snowden is Founder and President of McRae Communications, Atlanta. He provides consultation to a diverse range of private and public organizations, based on his broad experience in diverse sectors. He is an active contributor to numerous boards including the Board of the College of Communication, Florida State University; Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; and Worldcom Public Relations Group. He is a frequent speaker and panelist for such venues as the Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Home Builders, and various colleges and universities. Mr. Snowden holds a Bachelor's Degree, Cum Laude, from Florida State University.
  • Peggy Ann West, J.D, is Vice President, Business Affairs for Coca-Cola North America and is based at the Company's corporate headquarters in Atlanta. Her primary responsibilities include providing leadership for the Company's team of professionals engaged in valuing and acquiring the Company's marketing, celebrity talent, music, and sports and entertainment sponsorship rights. Ms. West's role includes direct responsibility for managing the Company's largest and most complex marketing transactions. She also is responsible for providing business oversight in dispute resolution and mediation of major litigation including patent cases. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Ms. West was an Associate Attorney in the corporate and securities department of the Atlanta law firm of Arnall, Golden & Gregory where she managed a wide variety of business and securities transactions with an emphasis on high growth technology and healthcare companies. She holds a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Emory University's School of Law and a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University's College of Law graduating 1st in her law school class. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Florida State University's College of Communication.
  • David Smith, is a producer and vice president of Soapbox Films in Los Angeles. Soapbox is a dynamic production company, made up primarily of Florida State alumni, that concentrates on marketing and television and internet content. He was previously a marketing director at MGM/UA. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Florida State University.
