| Job Shadow | One, two, three, or four-day job shadow experience. |
| Purpose | To acquaint you with what work is really like in a career field. Gives you a chance to ask questions in your field of interest. |
| Experience | Exploratory experience that may be entirely observational or a mix of observation and hands-on experience. |
| Dates | Discuss with Job Shadow Host. |
| Salary | Job Shadow experience is not paid. |
| Eligibility | Currently enrolled FSU sophomore, junior, and senior students in good academic standing. |
| GPA | 2.0 (or greater) at FSU. • View employer/host to establish special requirements. |
| Transportation | You are responsible for your own transportation to/from the location of the Job Shadow opportunity. |
| Residence | You are responsible for housing arrangements if you do not reside close to the Job Shadow opportunity. |

| Communicate | Contact the employer to see if she/he can host you. Set the date (beginning and ending), time to arrive, confirm the location, where to park, etc. |
| Preparation | Research your host. |
| Professional | Take the Job Shadow opportunity seriously. Job Shadow may lead to a co-op or internship, to summer temporary employment, or to full-time permanent employment! |
| Hours | Attend the days and times your host has specified. |
| Attitude | Have a positive attitude. |
| Appearance | Dress appropriately (usually business attire). |
| Appreciation | Send a thank you letter to your host within 24-48 hours of your
Job Shadow experience. |
| Evaluation | Complete a brief evaluation to be turned in to the CEO office. |
