Special Opportunity: Mock TELEPHONE Interviews
In an attempt to better prepare students for telephone screening interviews, a limited number of Mock TELEPHONE Interviews will be offered during the Fall & Spring semesters.
Policies (registration, cancellation, no-show) for Mock Telephone Interviews will remain the same as regular face-to-face mock interviews scheduled online. All interviews require that the student upload a resume and cover letter outlining the position (position type) that they would like the interview to focus. Note that a valid phone number on the cover letter will be required during registration for a Telephone Interview. Use of cell phones is highly discouraged. To learn why, review the Telephone Interview Preparation Guide.
Once you've secured a Mock Telephone Interview, you will NOT need to come into the Career Center to have the interview conducted. A trained Mock Interview Mentor will call you on your designated date/time and conduct a 15 -20 minutes interview via phone. The mentor will then review the recorded interview and call the interviewee again to provide feedback. Additional feedback may also be provided via email in the form of an audio recording and/or written comments. All other mock interviews are face-to-face and will require your physical presence in the Career Center at the time of the session.
Note that Mock Interviews are available on a first-come/first serve basis.
Interviews Conducted by Professional Recruiters
Beginning October 6th and ending October 10th, student mock interview mentors will take a break from their normal duties to allow professional recruiters an opportunity to conduct mock interviews with registered FSU students. A list of participating employers is forthcoming.
