Self Knowledge: What kind of activities am I interested in?
 

I am a current student and I need to choose a major:

Below are activities available at the FSU Career Center to help you in answering this question. You could do one of the activities or all of them. Talk to a Career Advisor for help deciding which activities to complete.

  • Complete the Self-Directed Search (SDS).
  • Complete the "Interest Profiler" in CHOICES PLANNER (To find this feature, click on the "Work" tab and look at the column on the right side of the screen.) or use the "Career Finder" component to search for careers based on characteristics that are important to you. (This can also be found under the "Work" tab.)
  • Complete the "Interest Inventory" in the "Inventories" component of eDISCOVER (*password protected, see below).
  • Complete the "Interests" portion of "Self-Assessment" in SIGI3 (*password protected, see below).
  • Complete the Occupational Card Sort.
  • Review the FSU Undergraduate Programs by Holland/SDS Categories to identify FSU programs consistent with your self-assessment.
