Knowing where to begin in Choosing a Major or Career

To acquaint yourself with the variety of college majors available at institutions around the country, you could do the following activities:

  1. See the Florida State University General Bulletin for a list of degree and certificate programs available at FSU.

  2. Look at Peterson's Guide to Four-Year Institutions; Chronicle 2-Year or 4-year College Databook; Explore Peterson's CollegeQuest Web site.

  3. View descriptions for FSU Undergraduate majors in the Undergraduate Academic Program Guide.

  4. Review Module V, "Match Majors and Jobs".

  5. Examine various directories located on top of the file cabinets next to the Career Library reference desk or in your local library/bookstores.
