eDISCOVER is a comprehensive, computer-assisted career guidance information system designed to assist you in learning more about yourself, occupations, educational options, and the job search process. The system includes the following sections:
- Inventories: Assess your interest, rate your abilities, and prioritize your values.
- Occupations: Find information about occupations and/or generate a list of occupations related to your inventory results.
- Majors: Learn about majors.
- Schools: Search for schools by characteristics of importance to you.
- Job Search: Plan for work and take steps to secure employment.
- My Portfolio: View a summary of the information you saved in the other sections.
Please contact or visit The Career Center to make an appointment to use this program. Access to this program is availiable online at eDISCOVER, but a User Id is needed. To obtain a User Id visit the Career Center and speak to a Career Advisor. Whether you complete the assessment at home or in the Career Center, you are encouraged to discuss your printouts with a Career Advisor to see how the information can be applied to your career problem solving and decision making.
