This internship application was by invitation only. So after I applied through the given link, I had an interview with the team.

How far in advance did you prepare and begin applying for your experiential learning opportunity?

I have been preparing for a career in either investment banking or private equity since freshman year by attending undergraduate finance workshops and then joining Noles on Wall Street.

Describe some of your responsibilities or duties during your experiential learning opportunity.

During the responsibility, I was expected to attend daily training that covered a new topic each day. In addition to that, we were expected to sit in on new deal and expert calls. After that, we were assigned a company to present a mini memo on.

What are some major takeaways from your experience? How will these help prepare you for the next step after graduation?

I learned that I need to get better at modeling by practicing the resources I have been given in Noles on Wall Street and the online resources that are out there.

Did this experience help clarify your career path? If yes, how so?

Yes, I decided I wanted to pursue a career in private equity after completing a couple of years in investment banking.
